Our Oilsands Finance team is seeking a new team member with strong data analytics & data modeling skills. You'll have the opportunity to influence change & drive improved reporting & process automation that supports performance analysis, stewardship, and business planning that help drive cost and finance process improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

- Minimum of 4 years of relevant financial & analytical experience
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, economics, or other relevant education
- Working towards or possess a recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA)
- Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency with SAP and Microsoft tools
- Experience in data modelling software (ex. Power BI, Tableau, SAP SAC)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational & interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

- Build & analyse monthly stewardship reporting, and support key financial processes
- Provide coordination & analysis support for the Oil Sands business planning process
- Use data analytics tools & techniques to drive improvements in Oil Sands reporting
- Develop an understanding of Oil Sands financial planning data models & support improvements
- Develop an understanding of Oil Sands financial picture, key business drivers and business challenges
- Identify & participate in broader performance improvement projects

Location and other key details:

- This is an office-based role. You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 - 6th Ave S.W.
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
- This position is security sensitive which requires you to clear a criminal history check
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
