**COMPANY INFORMATION**:
MDI is one of the largest dairy operations in Manitoba and is a processor of specialty Milk Protein Concentrate (MPC) and Butter products that operates 24/7/365.

**POSITION OVERVIEW**

The primary role of the Printer Operator is for the efficient operation of print equipment throughout the butter production department.

**KEY RESPONSIBLITIES AREAS**

**Production**
- Responsible for operating print equipment.
- Accurately perform line quality checks and record results.
- Set-up and complete Clean-in-Place (CIP) washes, as well as manual cleaning of equipment and environmental cleaning.
- Back up to the Churn operator in their absence.
- Relieves butter packer when on breaks
- Loading machinery with packing materials.
- Ensure work area and department is clean and tidy after the shift.
- Any other duties that maybe assigned.

**Quality Control**
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
- Food Safety & Quality responsibility as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other training materials provided and accurate record keeping.

**Safety & Environment**
- Adhere to all safety practices and protocols related to job responsibilities and tasks including wearing all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
- Act in accordance with company policies related to personal and group health and safety practices and procedures.

**Continuous Improvement**
- Actively participate in continuous improvement programs such as coaching sessions, sharing of knowledge and skills, and contributing to team efforts to achieve assigned balanced scoreboard goals.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement with ideas or suggestions for process improvement and streamlining.

**COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills, Ability)**
- Knowledge of GMPs, including excellent sanitary habits and possess knowledge of HACCP.
- Effectively collaborates with others to achieve area and team goals.
- Participate in required meetings, safety discussions, and committees providing input and recommendations.
- Deal with changes, delays, or unexpected events in a calm and timely manner.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum high school diploma and/or relevant food processing experience.
- Forklift license and experience on forklift operation an asset.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to be flexible in terms of shift work and perform other duties as required.
- Able to lift up to 25kg (55 lbs.)
- Able to work and learn on user friendly computerized systems.
- Mechanical aptitude and solid troubleshooting ability.
- Able to work in a regular exposure to noise, odour, chemical hazards, hazardous machines and frequent interruptions.
