Waste Auditor/general Labourer

AET Group is looking for a **Waste Auditor/General Labourer** to join our Waste Team.

**This is a full time, permanent position with a competitive total compensation plan after 3- months (Health, Dental, Vision, Health Spending Account, RSP Matching and more).**

AET Group is a multi-disciplinary environmental consulting, auditing and scientific services company providing professional services to the built and natural environments in the following core service areas: air, compliance, building sciences, mitigation, GHG, waste, sustainability, audits, water, management systems, home flood protection and energy. Headquartered in Kitchener Ontario, AET provides services across Canada and the United States. AET is looking for dedicated, skilled, and knowledgeable people to complement our current team.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to our growth, working on diverse waste projects across Canada, including municipal waste studies, ICI waste audits and reduction strategies, material recovery facility optimization & quality studies, litter studies, inbound landfill studies, and food waste studies.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Conduct waste audits (~90% of time) including:

- Participate in waste sample collection (e.g. curbside residential waste collection, landfill waste collection, recycling collection)
- Participate in sample sorting to characterize and determine garbage and recycling composition by material type
- Responsible for carrying out work accordance to project specifications and prescribed methodology. Work safely by following all health & safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment

General labour and maintenance of our fleet of vehicles and around the office (~10% of the time) including:

- Vehicle maintenance, such as vehicle inspections, oil changes, minor repairs, cleaning of the trucks and trailers, etc.
- Regular office maintenance, such as general landscaping, property maintenance and cleaning, inspections, cleaning auditing equipment, snow removal, office repairs, etc.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Drivers license with clean drivers abstract; comfortable driving pickup truck and pulling a cargo trailer (required)
- Strong initiative, adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to learn (required)
- Ability to work well in a team setting (required)
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment; must be punctual and dependable (required)
- Must possess excellent oral, written, organizational, and multitasking skills (required)
- Professional demeanor (required)
- You have completed a college diploma in a related field of study (Asset)
