Installation Technician

- Perform cabling, installing, powering up, and troubleshooting electronic security systems, including Access Control, CCTV, Intercom, and Intrusion Systems.
- The lead security team in technical installations assists in project planning and scheduling and manages interaction with clients.
- Communicate actively and professionally, including project updates and providing Daily Reports, and follow the project schedule
- Train, motivate, supervise installation tech(s), monitoring attendance and quality of work, and daily/weekly plan.

**Requirements**:

- 4 + years of progressive experience performing cabling, installing, powering up, and troubleshooting of security systems in commercial, condo projects, commercial offices, and the hospitality sector (construction to finished sites)
- A good understanding of IT, networks, and computers is considered an asset
- Ability to jack, terminate, dress, test, and troubleshoot all related wiring for Access Control, Alarm, CCTV, and intercom on both sides
- Thorough understanding of and ability to communicate blueprints, drawings, work orders, and diagrams and knowledge of building codes for cabling and wiring
- Demonstrate strong work ethic, leadership skills, ability to train, and ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to balance a physically demanding workload (standing, lifting, climbing, bending, crawling in confined spaces) and to work in a variety of indoor/outdoor environments
- Experience with ICT Protégé, C-CURE (Software House), SALTO, Kantech, Avigilon, DSC, Honeywell, Hikvision, Genetec, Exacqvision, Aiphone, TOA preferred
- Possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License (G level)
