**Overview**

We’re seeking a dedicated, skilled **Concrete Formwork Foreman** to join our clients team to lead and supervise crews on residential and commercial foundation projects. You’ll oversee daily operations on-site, direct carpenters and labourers, and ensure quality concrete forming for walls, slabs, footings, stairs, and architectural features.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage a team of 5-10 carpenters and labourers on-site
- Oversee layout, forming, bracing, stripping, and concrete placement for: residential and commercial foundations, structural walls and columns, suspended slabs, and custom architectural elements
- Interpret blueprints and structural drawings accurately
- Coordinate layout with surveyors or engineers as needed
- Ensure formwork is built to spec, on time, and with precision
- Collaborate with superintendents, project managers, and other trades
- Plan tasks based on schedule, manpower, and material availability
- Track crew hours, material use, and daily productivity
- Communicate any issues or delays and assist with solutions
- Conduct inspections before pours to verify layout, cleanliness, and bracing
- Enforce safety regulations in accordance with WorkSafeBC
- Document and report any incidents, near misses, or site hazards
- Promote a safety-first mindset within your crew
- Conduct daily safety meetings, assign tasks, and monitor work progress
- Coach, mentor, and develop less experienced team members
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive worksite culture

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of hands-on forming experience; 2+ years in a leadership role
- Proven ability to lead and manage a crew efficiently
- Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, layout, and elevations
- Strong knowledge of formwork systems and cast-in-place techniques
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work outdoors in all weather
- Excellent communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation
- Red Seal Carpenter certification (preferred)
- OFA Level 1 (preferred)
- WHMIS & Fall Protection certification (preferred)
