Junior Estimator

We are a mid-sized commercial millwork manufacturer and have been serving our clients for over 30 years. Located in Arnprior, ON, we are just ½ hour West of Kanata.

Bode’s Custom Cabinets is looking for a full-time **Junior Estimator** to join our team. Reporting directly to the Senior Estimator and General Manager, you will bring knowledge and a strong ethic.

Your duties will include:

- Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Prepare quotes of cost of materials, labour and subcontractors for millwork projects based on contract tenders and addendums.
- Follow up on bids as necessary to monitor our pricing compared to our competitors.
- Include as much detail as possible in quotes including specifications and exclusions.
- Maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Have all bids reviewed by management for accuracy.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Estimator.

Requirements and qualifications:

- Experience in architectural millwork.
- Experience in Reading Architectural drawings.
- Ability to deal with multiple projects and conflicting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read blueprints and identify specifications.
- Good time-management and technical knowledge and skills.
- Must be able to acquire and maintain reliability security clearance
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

**Salary**: $35,000.00-$40,000.00 per year

- Estimating: 1 year (preferred)
