- Will have direct responsibility for staff level product management activities for several products within Junipers High end router product line. Traditional “cradle to grave” product life cycle management.
- Specify and negotiate technical feature definitions (product requirements), use case definitions and mínimal viable product definition with cross functional product team including
- Specify market requirements,
- Perform business case development, engineering negotiation, product launch, go-to-market activities, field training, ongoing business management
- Must maintain a high level of communication with key members of product team including other Product Managers, multiple engineering teams, support managers, field SE’s, field sales, marketing and finance,
- Educate field on product positioning, competitive aspects and sales tactics
- Establish and maintain strong sales account relationships and maintain sales roll-up
- Manage Customer escalations
- Manage and run cross functional team meetings
- Develop, recommend, negotiate, and implement hardware and software pricing
- Perform product forecasting and work with manufacturing and supply operations to manage product availability
- Develop and deliver product presentations to customers
- Participates with other product and marketing managers to establish strategic plans and objectives and to insure “go to market” strategies are developed, communicated and executed
- Assist in driving major revenue streams, major market investments, or major strategic thrusts for the product line
- Analyze market and competitive trends and ensure that strategies are put in place to properly position high end router products within Juniper and in the industry
- Analyze technology trends and customer inputs: ensure that product feature set reflects technology/industry trends
- Work with Junos release managers to insure features are properly scheduled into software release cycles

Education credential requirements: Skill & Experience Requirements:

- Minimum - BSEE/CS or equivalent. MBA desirable.
- At least 7 years product management or systems sales engineering experience in Telecommunication networking industry
- Strong technical and business knowledge of computer networking, computing, and telecommunications.
- Must have excellent communication skills; verbal, listening, written and presentation.
- Must have solid business and financial skills.
