Packaging and Warehouse Support

We have an exciting opportunity for you to work with a global beverage leader in the manufacturing industry The **Packaging and Warehouse Support** crew members are responsible for supporting packaging and warehouse operators at our Hamilton brewery.

The successful applicant will perform all tasks safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees while complying with all health and safety standards as well as department policies and procedures.

**Role Details**
- Full time, six - eight month contract, with possibility of extension
- 8-10 hour shifts
- Shift start times: 7:00am, 12:00pm
- Immediate start available

**A typical day as Packaging Support includes**:

- Build stable, secure and accurate pallets by logically placing products
- Constantly manipulating products that can weight up to 25-40 lbs
- Tray Making, Re-Packing, Cleaning, etc., and other tasks as required
- Load/unload trucks as required, including returning stock, pallets, etc. to inventory
- Separate out of date and sellable product to the appropriate areas

**A typical day as Warehouse Support includes**:

- Assist with loading and unloading trucks
- Prepare orders for shipment as requested
- Store all incoming goods neatly in assigned areas or give to department leads to store properly
- Utilize proper documentation and tracking for loads sent and received
- Help to maintain live inventory boards and assist with counting
- Provide forklift support to all departments as needed

**Physical Requirements**:

- Highly repetitive and/or monotonous tasks
- Carrying, lifting heavy items, transferring, lifting pushing items, operating heavy equipment, maintaining one position for a prolonged period
- Ability to lift 20kgs repetitively throughout a shift
- Standing for long periods of time in a warehouse environment
- Ability to work in a high temperature or cold environment
- High School Diploma, Professional Studies Diploma or Equivalence
- Experience working in a forklift operating position, an asset
- Previous warehouse experience in any capacity, an asset
- Maintaining a professional attitude in stressful situations
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stay focused and remain on task to the product and packaging operations for long periods of time
- Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime, as required by Production Demands.
