**Overview**
As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will play a critical role in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. You will be responsible for assessing patients' conditions, administering necessary treatments, and transporting them to medical facilities. This position requires quick thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

**Responsibilities**
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the situation to determine the best course of action.
- Provide basic life support and advanced patient care as needed, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
- Assist in heavy lifting and moving of patients to ensure their safety during transport.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and medical history.
- Utilize medical terminology accurately when interacting with healthcare professionals.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with EMT protocols and procedures.

**Skills**
- Proficiency in patient care techniques, including CPR and first aid.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for patient transport.
- Knowledge of medical terminology to facilitate clear communication within a healthcare environment.
- Experience in a hospital setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and team members.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 70 per week
