**Our Team**:
The Project and Shut Down Management Group has accountabilities to support the sites and the Site Manager(s) in delivering the Execution Plan as it relates to Capital Projects, Operating Projects and Shutdown (PMP) work.

**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking a **Project Superintendent Surface **to join our **Project and Shut Down Management Group** based in **Sudbury, Ontario**. This is a **permanent **position.

Additionally, in this position you will:

- Lead the management of a portfolio of approved Capital, Operating, and Period/Shutdown projects including related commissioning and operations readiness.
- Develop Project Leads, Project Engineer(s), Scheduler(s), Project Controls Coordinator(s) in line with optimized project and shutdown processes.
- Coordinate communication of contractor usage internally to all stakeholders.
- Manage the provision of construction coordination for Capital and Operating projects by the Project Leads.
- Plan and coordinate internal and external resources required to manage contracts and contractors.
- Where necessary design and present for approval the shutdown (temporary) organization to the operations management team.
- Access, analyze, understand, and make recommendations regarding plant project and shutdown budget and contract spend information.
- Liaise with Procurement, and Contract Management groups to ensure scope, technical, commercial and cost compliance.

**About You**

Education**:

- Engineering Degree in Engineering, with an Engineering designation is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience in project management roles.

**Skills**:

- Demonstrated Supervision and leadership capability.
- Knowledge and understanding of Vale Production Services (VPS), project management principles and strategies and strong project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
