Job Title: Communications Specialist - RQ 22-59

Reporting to the Executive Director, Human Resources and Business Support, the Communications Specialist is a dynamic role that supports the development and execution of TAQA North’s internal communications strategy and is responsible for planning and coordinating corporate events.

The Communications Specialist is responsible for:

- Supporting the development of the company’s internal communications strategy and the execution of the communications and events calendar.
- Helping coordinate the company’s corporate, charitable and social events.
- Integrating and upholding the company brand across communications platforms.
- Building and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating with key internal stakeholders to develop content for projects that support various business priorities.
- Supporting the fulfillment of deliverables for TAQA Group’s global initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a communications or public relations role
- Excellent written communications skills. Writing samples/portfolio will be required.
- Experience developing content for a variety of communications channels.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (design software). This is an asset but not a requirement.
- Familiarity with Canadian Press writing style. This is an asset but not a requirement.
