Oshawa, Canada Umbrella Central Daycare Services Full time

Ensure the safety and well being of children with high needs
- Early childhood educator assistants perform some or all of the following duties:

- Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
- Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
- Assist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
- Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
- Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
- Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
- May assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records.
- Consultation to programs regarding ideas to facilitate the success of all children in the program.
- Other duties as required by the director of the centre
- Experience with exceptionalities is an asset (ie: autism spectrum disorder, behaviours)
- Before and After School Program setting (September-June) Potential for more hours during the summer months
- Start date ASAP
- **The shift is Monday to Friday 2:30pm-6:00pm in Bowmanville**

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-40 per week

**Salary**: $18.45 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Umbrella Central Daycare Services trains and provides all necessary COVID 19
requirements.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Oshawa, ON L1G 4G7: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- DCS / DEC (preferred)
