WelcomINNS Ottawa is currently looking for detailed oriented '' **FULL TIME" Room Attendant/Room Checker** to join our Housekeeping Team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** - Clean assigned number of rooms / areas per work shift according to the hotel's standards. - Clean all aspects of the guest room, including beds/bedding, furniture, bathroom, carpet, etc. - Report any room deficiencies to the Housekeeping Manager. - Maintain cleaning equipment, stocking of carts. - Maintain linen rooms in a clean and tidy condition at all times. - Return all “Lost and Found” items to the Housekeeping Office. - Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines at all times. - Perform other related duties as required by your direct Manager. - Thoroughly inspect guest rooms to ensue the highest cleaning standards are met. - Inspect hallway, linen closets and all public areas to ensure they are cleaned and well maintained. - Handles special requests in a manner that ensures guest satisfaction. - Assist in training room attendants as needed. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS** - Relevant education and experience is preferred but not required. - Energetic, flexible, hands-on individual with initiative and integrity. - Friendly and pleasant demeanour. - Excellent customer service orientation. - Highly organized and detail oriented, with a passion for cleanliness and tidiness. - Work well under pressure, without supervision, independently and as a member of a team. - Able to perform well in a fast-paced work environment. - Good communication skills. - Strong teamwork skills. - Must be physically fit to perform job duties as per hotel standards. - Must be able to understand verbal English. - Must have a valid Canadian work permit. - Previous housekeeping experience an asset. - **Must be available to work on Saturdays, Sundays, Evenings and Weekends**: - Must be flexible with hours. **WORK CONDITIONS** - Will spend 100% of the time standing and walking during the work shift. - Must be able to lift and carry loads up to 50 pounds on regular basis. - This is a working position and requires a minimum of 50% time spent completing room attendant tasks daily. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: From $18.00 per hour Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Holidays - Night shift - Weekend availability **Experience**: - housekeeping: 1 year (preferred) - Supervising: 1 year (preferred)
