**FRONT DESK AGENT**

The Pinestone Resort and Conference Centre Overlooks 160 acres of lush “Cottage Country” landscape in the scenic Haliburton Highlands of Ontario. The area’s only full-service hotel with a golf course and restaurant, just two and a half hours from Toronto. Staff and Guests can enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities ranging from hiking, biking, downhill skiing at nearby Sir Sam’s, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing

As a Front Desk Agent, Your warmth and personality is the first impression for someone coming to our resort. Whether they are calling over the phone or walking through our doors guests will have peace of mind knowing that you are here to help them with any questions or concerns they may have. A front desk agent also works closely with other departments to ensure that the resort is providing a comforting experience to our guests and for each other.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Communicating with guests and fellow team members in a warm respectful manner.
- Greet, check-in, and check out guests when they arrive and leave the premises, distribute keys and room assignments, and safely record credit card information
- Is exceptionally knowledgeable about the resorts facilities and services, as well as the surrounding area.
- Take pride in the lobby by keeping it neat and tidy.
- Is able to be familiar with the Fire Safety Plan, WHIMS, and Health and Safety standards. Knows all safety and emergency procedures, is aware of accident prevention policies.
- Manage room bookings in-person, online, and through incoming calls, and answer inquiries about guests’ needs, including questions about available rooms, amenities, room rates, special requests, and rewards programs
- Work with the housekeeping staff to ensure rooms are ready for new guests
- Work Closely and maintain proper communication with all hotel departments
- General bookkeeping; ensure all hotel guest account information is accurate and up-to-date and general handling is accurate.
- Mitigate customer complaints as needed.
- Work with Resort Leadership to ensure teamwork and a positive work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.

**In order to be considered for this role you must have**:

- The ability to multitask and prioritize workflow while maintaining organization A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Exceptional communication skills in English including, reading, writing and speaking
- The ability to work standing, sitting and walking for extended periods or an entire shift.
- Ability to commute/relocate: Haliburton County, ON - reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work is required

**The following are considered assets**:

- Previous experience with Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience in hotel Front Desk, Front Office or Guest Services
- Previous experience with hotel property management systems
- Knowledge of Haliburton County including restaurants, attractions and events

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16 - 40 per week

**Salary**: From $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Holidays
- Night shift

- Haliburton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
