Acheson, Canada Mustang Freightways Ltd Full time

Mustang is looking for a Class 1 Driver for City Pick-up and Delivery work.

Since 1996 Mustang Freightways has grown into a reputable regional carrier leading the industry with legendary service. Mustang is a general freight carrier offering both LTL & truckload transportation in Alberta and British Columbia.

Basic Duties:

- Travel to Red Deer daily to complete pickup and delivery of TL/LTL freight to and from various customers, turnpike as required.
- May complete pickup and delivery work in and around Edmonton as required.
- Responsible for assisting with loading and unloading of truck and safe operation of pallet jack.
- Complete daily logs and comply with hours-of-service regulations.
- Conduct daily inspection of the vehicle.
- Manual lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Overtime required.

Qualifications:

- Valid Class 1 operator’s license
- 2-5 years driving experience
- General knowledge of the freight industry
- Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding safe operation of commercial vehicles, hours of service, and handling of dangerous goods
- Positive attitude with the ability to work alone or in a team environment
- Strong communication skills are a must
- LCV Certification required. Drivers with long combination experience are considered an asset, in house training for LCV available with proof of experience
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol and fit for work assessment required
