**Summary**:
The Maintenance Associate for Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson is a passionate and optimistic team player with a “can-do” attitude. The Maintenance Associate is accountable for assisting the Building Operations team with the repair and upkeep of a portfolio of commercial properties to ensure the properties remain in good working condition, and grounds are kept in exceptional condition.
The Maintenance Associate reports directly to the Manager, Building Operations.
**Required Skills and Abilities**:
- Valid MB Driver's License required.
- Ability to lift between 25 - 50 lbs.
- Highly observant disposition, and security consciousness is required.
- Exceptional problem solving abilities.
- Open to learning new skills and taking direction.
- Ability to drive a company vehicle with a snow blade.
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility and adaptability.
- Proven experience using a variety of different tools.
- Access to a number of tools to be used during the course of duties.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly growing/changing environment with a high degree of resourcefulness and adaptability.
- Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written with both internal and external stakeholders; Experience communicating with media an asset.
- Relationship Skills -Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships at all levels of the organization; be a mature and self-motivated team player with good conflict-resolution and people management skills; develop productive relationships with vendors.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Assists the Building Operators and Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining various buildings with a variety of maintenance projects from garbage removal to demolition.
- Takes part in snow removal efforts during the winter (by hand and vehicle with snow blade), and grounds clean up during warmer months.
- Troubleshoots general problems.
- Repairs and replaces general hardware such as taps/faucets, door handles, etc..
- Performs light landscaping including planting, leveling, laying gravel/pavers, etc.
- Removes stains and restores paint at the buildings in the portfolio when necessary.
- Completes any other projects as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the Director, Commercial Property Management.
