_Under the direction of the ministry, worship, and digital media teams, the summer student is responsible for: _
- Crafting dynamic and interactive weekly programs tailored to captivate and inspire children and youth who participate in church activities.
- Collaborating closely with our digital media team to expertly orchestrate and manage media events, ensuring seamless execution and engaging audience experiences.
- Empowering youth within the community through participation in secure social endeavors.
- Providing invaluable support to our Community Engagement team through active participation and dedicated assistance in various outreach initiatives and projects.
- Responsibilities will encompass a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:_
- Conducting daily team meetings to strategize and execute plans.
- Orchestrating engaging children's programs within our SonGarden Kids ministry.
- Managing budgets to procure essential supplies for program implementation.
- Collaborating with supervisors and the summer team for assessment and strategic planning.
- Regularly liaising with church staff to provide updates and activity reports.
- Compiling comprehensive reports on students' experience.
- There is a potential involvement in supporting our Congregational Life team with senior-focused events.
- Plan and present an end of term summary of activities and learning experiences.
- Requirements for this position encompass the following:_
- A strong interest in serving children and youth, coupled with a desire to engage with individuals of all age groups.
- Proficiency or a strong interest in mastering digital media platforms and engaging with various social media platforms, coupled with a passion for audio visual and media environments, or a strong desire to develop expertise in these domains.
- Ability to handle a flexible work schedule based on workload.
- Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.
- Adeptness at collaborating within a team-oriented environment.
- Proven self-motivation and initiative.
- Possession of a driver's license considered advantageous.
- The availability to work on Sundays is a must.
- The successful completion of a valid First Aid Certificate, an RCMP vulnerable sector check, and possibly a Food Handler Safety Course.

**Job Type**: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 14 weeks

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Work Location: In person
