Job Overview:
Come and join our wonderful team Animal Care Attendant/Assistant needed for busy midtown pet hospital. Experience with animal handling is essential. This position includes day, evenings and/or weekend shifts (typically 3 shifts of 10-11 hours).

Experience with Avimark software, and client care services would be an asset.

Pay: $16.55-$17.00 per hour

Expected hours: approx 30 per week
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Front desk: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person

**Duties**:

- handling of patients for procedures including blood collections, surgical procedures and vaccinations.
- Feed and provide water for animals according to schedules
- Clean and disinfect cages and kennels
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to supervisors
- Administer medications or treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
- cleaning and sanitation of hospital

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working with animals in a shelter, veterinary clinic, or similar setting is preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior, nutrition, and basic medical care is advantageous
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and pet owners

Pay: $16.55-$17.00 per hour
