Westquip Diesel Sales LTD is hiring a Generator and Engine Service Technician for our Langley, BC location.

This position is responsible for answering daily service and technical inquires, completing local shop and field repairs. Successful applicants will receive certified factory engine product training.

Position Responsibilities:

-Perform diagnostics and trouble shoot repairs on various types of diesel powered equipment and machinery; including generators, water pumps, light towers, hydraulic power units, heaters, compaction equipment.

-Commissioning, repair, and maintenance on power equipment products.

-Complete daily work orders

-Account for time and materials used on repairs orders

-Track and input all time spent on repair orders in shop or on field service calls

-Ensure safe work process is executed with each job

Skills and Experience Requirements:

-Diesel Engine Mechanic (DEM), Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (HDET) or equivalent; 3rd or 4th year apprentice

-Knowledge of electronically controlled diesel engines and diesel electric power generation.

-A valid driver's license with clean driver's record

-Ability to complete shop and field work

-Flexible work hours; willing to travel

-Willing to attend in-house and factory outside training

-Ability to use standard desktop laptop and diagnostic software

-Own your own tools

Westquip Diesel Sales has been supplying reliable industrial diesel-powered products to customers across Western Canada for over 40 years. Westquip Diesel Sales is authorized distributor for Isuzu, Yanmar, Hatz and JCB Diesel Engines. We provide complete sales distribution, parts, service, and warranty support for these and many more industrial products. Successful applicants will receive certified factory engine product training.

In addition to representing these excellent product lines, our facility manufactures its own line of custom build generator sets, water pumps, and light towers. We have a dedicated staff of qualified employees providing sales, parts, service & warranty repair, overhauls, and technical expertise to our loyal customers.
