**Job Description**:

This role (Finance Manager) has been assessed in the ‘Roamer’ classification, defined as mínimal days (2 days per week) in the office unless business demands require. **SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Reporting to Sr. Manager - Financial Planning and Reporting, the Finance Manager - Program Finance (Syl Apps) is responsible for:

- Supporting the development of annual budgets and monthly operational forecast plans for programs.
- Prepares reports and analyzes variances, identifying risks and progress versus plans and making corrective action recommendations.
- Plans and analyzes performance against service unit metrics.
- Understands not-for-profit accounting rules and ministry reporting requirements & practices.
- Reviews invoices and authorize payments, accounts payable and receivables for programs.
- Provides procurement oversight and reporting for program area contracts.
- Financial statement reporting for program director, management and the ministry.
- Service activity reporting with community partner agencies (as required).
- Provides financial support for other project and initiatives through completion of ad hoc analysis and reports.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Advanced skills with MS Excel, Office 365, OneNote required and experience with accounting software (Business Central and Vena) would be an asset.**:

- Knowledge and understanding of financial controls, not-for-profit accounting, broader public sector and ministry reporting standards.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with superior analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Canadian professional accounting designation CPA preferred or at final stage of CPA.
- Diploma in accounting/finance required; University degree preferred.
- 5-10 years’ experience.
- Holds a valid Ontario driver’s license, and own vehicle required.
- Program location: Oakville.
- Time allocation: 60% at program site, 40% remote.
