**Plumbing/Electrical/Construction Counter Salesperson** Bird Stairs is looking for a motivated, experienced counter salesperson responsible for providing prompt, courteous and knowledgeable service to clients and customers. We require an energetic, positive, customer-oriented individual, who communicates well with others and enjoys working with people. As a successful counter salesperson, you would be responsible for handling customer inquiries and resolving any issues or problems that arise, to our customer's satisfaction. This would include inquiries and product orders via phone as well as serving our "pick-up" customers at our sales counter when required. **Within this role you will be responsible for**: - Greeting customers, taking orders, and assisting them in any way possible with their purchase - Willingness to learn plumbing, electrical product knowledge to inform and increase sales - Calling customers when orders are ready for pick-up - Entering orders and expediting to ensure customer deadlines are met - Processing payments - Picking customer orders from stock in the warehouse - Documenting sales by creating and updating records of customer profiles - Additional job duties may include stocking shelves, taking inventory, marking price tags, setting up displays, and cleaning the customer area during quiet times to ensure a neat appearance **Qualifications**: - High school diploma or GED - Good communication skills - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Sales and customer service experience is not required but would be a definite asset - Plumbing/Electrical/Construction knowledge would be an asset - Experience in ERP systems (SYSPRO) would be an asset - Supportive team player **Compensation and Benefits** - Salary based on experience - Group Benefits Plan - We wish to thank all applicants for their interest but advise that only those selected for an interview will be contacted._
