**Position Summary**
Quality Assurance Supervisor, coordinates, and directs the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Program, verifies and maintains product compliance to HACCP, SQF, Quality and Food Safety Standards and specifications by monitoring production, sanitation effectiveness and microbiological analysis. Coordinates with other departments within organizations.

**Essential Functions**:
- Responsible for maintaining the SQF/HACCP program
- Conduct annual, reassessment, monitoring and verification of systems and procedures, and ensure compliance.
- Maintain, monitor and test product recall program and traceability measures.
- Provide support to operations with quality/food safety related decisions
- Manage 2nd and 3rd party & Customer audits and conduct internal audits and follow-up corrective-actions
- Investigate customer product quality complaints.
- Ensure finished product meets or exceeds established quality/regulatory/customer standards.
- Interacts with regulatory agencies, liases with CFIA personnel and all staff and communicates relevant quality assurance issues to management within plant environment.
- Performs Quality assurance systems audits to ensure development and execution of quality/sanitation processes and improvements, compliance with governmental regulatory quality, GMP and sanitation standards.
- Responsible for QA Team.
- Coordinates team involvement activities to drive continuous quality improvement processes.
- Provides training to production team members relating to product quality and safety
- Assists with the selection and training of employees
- Enforce and abide by all company rules and regulations
- Performs other related duties as required
**Working Conditions**:
- Work is performed in the production and office environment. Must be flexible and available to meet the needs of the business as required.
**Health and Safety Responsibilities**:
- Working in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Working in compliance with all of Freshstone Brand’s policies and procedures inclusive of Health and Safety policies
- Working in a manner that ensures a safe working environment for themselves and other workers.
**Food and Safety Quality Management**:
Working in compliance with FBI Food Safety and Quality Management system containing HACCP, GMPs, Food Safety policies and procedures that meet legal and regulatory requirements, customer requirements, audit requirements and industry best practices. Provided with the food safety training necessary to enable them to perform their tasks. All employees are required to co-operate with any authorized person to ensure that statutory and regulatory obligations are properly complied with.
**Qualifications**:
- Education:_
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- A diploma or equivalent experience in a food safety/quality discipline may also be considered.
- Experience:_
- 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or processing, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within QA/Food Safety.
- Experience with HACCP, SQF (or other GFSI-recognized schemes), GMPs, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with CFIA requirements, customer audits, and product traceability/recall programs.
- Experience working with production teams and cross-functional coordination is valuable.
- Certifications:_
- HACCP certification.
- SQF Practitioner certification or equivalent (preferred or ability to obtain).
- Food Safety/Quality certifications (e.g., PCQI, BRC, FSSC) can be an asset.
- Skills:_
- Strong understanding of food safety/quality standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Ability to conduct audits and lead root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with regulators, auditors, and staff at all levels.
- Organizational and analytical skills for monitoring and verification of QA programs.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and QA software or database systems.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
