**Durham Youth Services is seeking 3 Volunteers to join our Board of Directors**

The DYS Board of Directors is seeking collaborative and knowledgeable applicants who are passionate about issues surrounding youth homelessness for positions on the Board.

Durham Youth Services is a non-profit organization and a registered charity, dedicated to achieving its vision of ending youth homelessness in Durham Region. In addition to operating Joanne’s House, Durham’s only youth-focused emergency shelter, DYS offers a variety of programs in youth homeless prevention, rapid rehousing, and housing stabilization, serving nearly 500 youth annually.

The Board provides strategic governance through leading DYS’s direction as expressed in its vision, mission and strategy and the effective empowerment of the organization’s Executive Director and Management Team.

**Note: Although board meetings are typically held remotely via zoom, we are seeking board members who live within, or are connected to the Durham Region. We do value Board Members participating in some in-person events and activities (i.e. Board Holiday dinner, Annual General Meeting) each year.**

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $1.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Ajax, ON L1S 2M6
