**Title**: Specialist - Technical Service Delivery

**Location**: Mississauga, ON - 1800 Argentia Road

**Role**:
The Specialist - Technical Service Delivery (TSD) is the single point of contact for Recovery Services customers during the disaster recovery exercise cycle. The role is responsible for gathering the technical specifications required by customers for testing and acting as a liaison to recovery operations. The Specialist - TSD will also interface directly with customers to provide support during test exercises and/or recoveries. This support position will be responsible for hardware setup and configuration, technical support, and initial problem determination / resolution for all aspects of recovery testing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide proficient support in the Operating Systems and the following Applications: Microsoft Windows, VMware, Cisco (version 12.X and newer) and Voice over IP (VoIP).
- Pre-test conference call participation by obtaining and creating required network and telephony configuration documents.
- Set up hardware configurations for pending/scheduled recoveries.
- Provide standard recovery support.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
- Gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the platforms/technologies supported by cross-training for other platforms.
- Ensure team understands test objectives and process for recovering, as well as an understanding of the customer’s recovery requirements, critical testing windows, and potential impacts.
- Ensure the facility is neat, clean, and organized at all times to provide a comfortable work environment for customers and employees.
- Work supportively with colleagues, always operating in a collegiate manner and in line with the Company’s values.
- Periodic travel for test support and recovery to mobile test locations, other Sungard AS locations, as well as customer locations for technical meetings, sales support and/or “Procedure Development.”

**Profile**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related major. Desirable.
- Cisco, ESXi or Microsoft certifications. Desirable.
- Extensive Cisco/TCPIP knowledge. Essential.
- Extensive Microsoft OS knowledge. Essential.
- Intel Based Server experience. Desirable.
- Knowledge of SAN administration. Desirable.
- Telephony experience and prior experience in a disaster recovery role. Desirable.
- Working knowledge of project management fundamentals. Desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Essential.
- Periodically flex schedule to provide off-hours and weekend test coverage or Testing Services Support; On-call 24 x 7 x 365.Essential.
- Punctuality. Essential.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds as needed for test set up. Desirable.
