**Overview**:
The Production Associate reports to the Production Coordinator and supports the production department’s objectives producing quality wood products in a safe and productive manner.

**Responsibilities**:

- Produce quality Pallets, Crates, using assembly standards
- Operate and maintain (keep in good condition) basic woodworking hand tools such as nail guns, hammers, drills, grinders and other tools to meet objectives
- Understanding basic machinery functions which will include cut - off saws, re-saw, feeding and extracting wood from saw
- Follow quality and safety standards
- Maintain shop cleanliness according to an established schedule
- Ability to grasp instructions given by lead hand with relative ease and to adhere to the instructions with mínimal issue
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Communicate (speak, read, and write) effectively in English
- Safety conscious, understands and adheres to all safety rules and regulations
- Basic math and measuring skills
- Able to perform a range of body movements including dexterity with the hands as well as bending, reaching, and crouching
- Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds
- Reliable transportation
- Team oriented, able to work with others to achieve common goals
- Sense of urgency in meeting deadlines set by Production Supervisor
- Quality conscious ensuring quality workmanship
- Even temperament in co-operating, assisting and keeping co-worker and relations with Management personnel professional and cooperative.

**Working Conditions**:

- Indoor working environment however the temperature will vary based on the temperature outside
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
- Very dusty environment (sawdust)

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour
