**Skill Requirements**:
The Journeyman Metal Processor will be responsible for directing/assisting the equipment operators in the steel processing area and perform repetitive operations. You will be responsible for developing machine operators to become independent operators in all the below listed areas. The Journeyman Metal Processor is also responsible for keeping the work areas clean, crop plate and tools neatly organized and general upkeep of the equipment (greasing, oiling, etc).

**General Responsibilities/Skill Requirements**:
Journeyman Metal Processor must be able to properly and independently run various types of equipment ie. Shear, Brake Press both Hydraulic and Mechanical, Plate Rolls, Plasma Table and Profile bending machine.
- Shear material as per lists and direction
- Perform production bending
- Punch holes prior to bending
- Handle plate and keep plate racks clean
- Change dies on brake press
- Cope corners on pans etc,
- Perform basic layout
- Control crop
- Punching holes, drilling holes
- Cut materials as per cut lists
- Ability to read mechanical drawings/blue prints
- Basic Knowledge of hand tools
- Mathematics
- General maintenance and up keep of all shop equipment

**Education**:
Completion of High school

**Experience**:
2 years

Speak English, Read English, Write English

Lay out reference points and patterns, Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures, set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines, Construct patterns and templates
