Concrete Finisher

B&B Contracting Group is currently seeking a dedicated **Concrete Finisher** to join our growing company in our **Excavation & Shoring Division**.

Key Responsibilities

Job duties include but are not limited to:

- Fabricate and erect forms for civil concrete construction.
- Set forms for curbs, sidewalks, and flatworks.
- Place and finish concrete.
- Perform miscellaneous concrete works and skilled labor tasks.
- Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials.
- Direct the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
- Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
- Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications.
- Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages as required.
- Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
- Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces.
- Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
- Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
- Uphold a safe work environment by adhering to safety policies and work procedures.

Qualifications and Skills
- Journeyman Certification or a minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete finishing.
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy lifting, bending, reaching, and carrying.
- Willing to travel to Vancouver Island and other locations within the Lower Mainland.
- Valid driver's license and transportation.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings is an asset.
- Experience working with curbing machines is an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and maintain them in proper operating condition.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions in outdoor environments.

COMPENSATION

**Salary**: $38.00 - $41.00 per hour
- Hourly pay rate will be adjusted based on skills and experience._
