Reporting to the Operations Manager, the **Field Supervisor** is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of field staff, including training, quality control, time management, and compliance with all safety and operating procedures.

Along with the items below, Field Supervisors are fully competent in all responsibilities and qualifications of the Utility Locator/Damage Prevention positions and will be required to perform utility locate services during peak demand and coverage periods. On-call is a regular component of the role.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Day-to-day supervision of field staff
- Act as the quality and technical lead - first point of contact for technical escalations
- Manage quality in field work and ticket submissions
- Be the expert in customer technical requirements, including ticket and mapping rules, and escalations
- Regularly perform technician training, both in class and field
- Oversee work site and field staff safety, ensuring adherence to all policies, procedures, regulations and quality standards, and completing Health, Safety and Quality Inspections
- Will perform regular utility locate services to support workload demand and infield retraining activities with Utility Locators
- Assist in the evaluation of prospective and existing field staff
- Will complete damage inspections
- Ensure suitability and readiness of equipment and vehicles
- Other duties as required

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- ** ORCGA Certification in Damage Prevention, Utility Locating, required**:

- ** 3-5 years utility locating experience required (all utility types)**:

- 3-5 years supervisory experience preferred
- Self-organizing and able to multi-task
- Experience dealing directly with customers
- Strong communication and team skills
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
- Clean driving license
- Able to work on job sites outside for long periods
