Large apartment complex in the Bonnie Doon area is seeking a Maintenance Assistant /Labourer to join our maintenance team This position encompasses all aspects of suite preparation and property maintenance. **The position also includes a required Emergency On-Call component.**

The tasks of this position include but are not limited to general carpentry, building and repairs, deck and step building and repair, plumbing tasks, minor electrical, possible indoor and outdoor painting, suite demo including carpet tear-outs, snow removal, as well as other labour tasks as required. **A variety of handyman skills is required.**

This position can be labour intensive and calls for frequent lifting and carrying items up to 50lbs alone, or more with assistance; lots of walking, standing, bending, reaching, and twisting.

Set hours are Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
**Emergency on-call**is overnight and is handled on a rotating basis. It requires answering of the on-call phone with the possibility of having to visit the site for emergency maintenance issues. _Extra remuneration will be explained if you are chosen for an interview._
**A vehicle and valid, current driver's license is a requirement of this position.**

The successful applicant will be ambitious, enthusiastic, and able to take on the physical demands of the job. Ability to use hand tools and power tools efficiently with complete mindfulness of safety at all times is required.
We are looking for someone reliable, who can work alone as a self-starter or as part of a team and take direction; someone who is ready and willing to work.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
