**Position Overview**

Grant Ag is searching for a highly motivated individual that will assist our company with maintaining & building relationships within the Agricultural Industry. If you have excellent knowledge of the grain industry and successful experience trading these products this position is for you. The elevator manager will oversee the purchase of grain from local farmers, the storage of the grain and the shipment of that grain to processing facilities. They supervise, lead and develop elevator employees. In addition, they are responsible for grain handling including incoming, stored and outgoing grain. This position will be a hands-on management role leading and working along side a small team

**Essential Job Functions**
- Manage the planning and direction of all aspects of facility operations
- Maintain and expand existing client base and research new potential markets.
- Develop and grow key vendors & industry relationships
- Oversee & Manage Logistics
- Coordinate with producers and cleaning plants to purchase crops for export.
- Purchase correct grades of grains for domestic contracts and exports.
- Ensure delivery of products on time, to the stipulated destination.
- Trade on own account, domestic or international, as opportunities arise.
- Coordinate Marketing, Sales, and Logistics
- Maintain accurate data on sales, import and export
- Ensure that daily operations meet all standards and operational schedules
- Oversee a team and promote improvement in quality, safety and cost performance
- Perform general maintenance and repairs of the facility

**Other Skills/Abilities**
- 3+ years of demonstrated successful experience in trading grain or related products.
- Minimum education College Diploma in Business, Agriculture Business or Commerce, Economics, Marketing or Agronomic-related area is needed to pursue a career as a Grain Elevator Manager
- Ability to build strong Grower & Grain Elevator relations.
- An understanding of rules and regulations for purchasing and exporting of crops.
- Clear knowledge and understanding of inspection processes for products.
- Relevant business contacts with the ability to build a strong and profitable book of business quickly.
- Strong phone sales skills with an assertive approach
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with contacts at all levels.
- A good understanding of logistics for moving products.
- Strong business acumen, a team approach, professionalism, strong business ethics, creativity, and persistence.
- Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
- Ability to work in French & English would be considered an asset
- Solid computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel).

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 44 per week
