**Job Description**:
The Animal Care Floor Supervisor plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our animal care team and front desk staff. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for animal welfare, and exceptional customer service abilities. The Floor Supervisor will lead the animal care team, manage volunteer assignments, and ensure that all aspects of the shelter run smoothly in conjunction with shelter manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:

- Supervise and support the animal care team, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Lead and coordinate the work of volunteers, assigning tasks based on daily needs and individual strengths.

Performance Management:

- Assist the Shelter Manager with performance reviews for team members and volunteers, offering constructive feedback and support.

Front Desk Operations:

- Oversee the front desk team, ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations.
- Manage inquiries, appointments, and adoptions, providing information to potential adopters and visitors.

Animal Care:

- Ensure high standards of care for all animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercise.
- Monitor animal health and report any concerns to the shelter manager

Administrative Duties:

- Maintain accurate records using PetPoint and ensure all data is entered correctly and timely.
- Assist with scheduling and inventory management as needed.

Create a welcoming environment for all visitors.

Supervise front desk staff

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in animal care or a related field.
- Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in PetPoint or similar animal management software is a strong asset.
- Valid full G driver's license.
- Availability to work weekends and flexible hours as required.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and welfare practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent customer service skills
