**Carfair Composites** is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composites technology and has dedicated team members located in facilities between Winnipeg, MB (Canada), St. Cloud, MN (USA), and Anniston, AL (USA), Wausaukee, WI (USA) and Gillett, WI (USA).

***:The Prepper / Finisher / Assembler is responsible for using hand tools to assemble, sand, and to prepare fiberglass for paint and finished goods for shipping.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Maintains assigned / department tools and equipment.
- Preps parts for painting.
- Prepares finished product for shipping.
- Performs structural repairs to all fiberglass components.
- Documents all non-conformities on a Corrective & Preventative Action report (CAPAR).
- Assembles fiberglass parts, installs hardware, tapping plates or assorted inserts according to blueprints.
- Uses spray equipment to perform spot repairs
- Sands or grinds parts to a uniform thickness.
- Assembles parts using jigs and fixtures.
- Checks Customer Specification Sheet (Blueprint) to determine required assembly, exterior finish on product, and any special options.
- Adheres to all Lean and 5s initiatives.
- Complies with all safety and housekeeping rules and regulations.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- Prior experience in composite manufacturing is preferred
- Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with hand tools (pneumatic, electric, manual)
- Ability to handle heavy loads (min of 50 lbs): lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to stand for long-hours
- Manual dexterity
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work with mínimal supervision
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
