**Job Summary**:
Broking and Insurance Placement Specialist will lead the marketing placement for new business and renewals of Commercial Lines Small business, Mid Market and Large commercial accounts. This role will be responsible for providing exemplary service to the Sales and Client Service Teams by building and fostering strong relationships with underwriters to deliver competitive and comprehensive understanding of program, coverages, and pricing to clients.

This role supports Commercial Sales Producers to assist in strengthening their closing positions on new business and strategically strengthening their positions on renewals that are under attack or competitive pressure.

**Duties / Activities Performed**:

- Manage the marketing process in close collaboration with the Client Executive teams on renewal business
- Work on new business prospects with Producer teams
- Arrange client and insurer presentations
- Negotiate the premium when required.
- Review for accuracies and completeness insurers’ policies; and, develop policy wordings, to include issuance of manuscript documents
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive underwriting submissions
- Maintain strong relationships with key insurers, including involvement in escalation process
- More detailed analysis will be provided once interview process begins
- Minimum of five years prior experience in broker or insurance company management environment, preferably as a commercial underwriter
- University degree or Professional insurance designation (CIP,CAIB,CRM) preferred (or relevant work experience)
- Minimum RIBO license
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team Player with excellent negotiation and organizational skills
- Detail oriented and demonstrated excellence in time management
- Flexible and a self-starter, able to multi-task
- Strong understanding of Customer and Insurance market dynamics and requirements
- Personal qualities of integrity, empathy, strong work ethic, credibility and a commitment to the Vision and Values of the Verge Insurance Group
- Must be flexible to travel between branch offices and Company offices as required.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
