POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Prep Cook, you ensure inventory, pars, ingredients and sauces are ready for the day's service, and may work a station during service preparing orders to a consistent high standard. You'll be working alongside great people in a supportive environment. As a critical member of our BOH team, you embody and share our Company's values: Be Real, Have Fun, Own It, and Grow with Us

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Maintains excellence in kitchen operations through demonstrating best practice and peer coaching, as directed by Chef or designate

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintains good communication with Chef and other BOH and FOH team members as appropriate
- Creates a daily prep list following established par levels
- Prepares ingredients to recipe in sufficient quantities for service as directed by Chef or Sous Chef
- Places and receives orders when required (if Chef / Sous are unavailable), per food safety guidelines
- Ensures the highest standard of cleanliness at all times, and works proactively to reduce wastage while maintaining the highest quality of food served
- May be assigned a specific station in a kitchen, which will rotate for training and coverage purposes
- Undertakes stock rotation, supports inventory management processes
- Participates in regular deep cleaning schedule and ad hoc kitchen hygiene responsibilities as directed

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- At least two years' proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
- Familiar with industry best practices

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 32 per week
