VersaBank is looking to add a Credit Analyst to our Real Estate Lending team. This is currently a hybrid role located in London, Ontario.

**Primary Responsibilities include**:

- Gather and provide analysis of third-party reports including, financial statements, rent rolls, appraisals, ESAs and other credit information
- Ensure compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures
- Ensure all credit and other risks are adequately identified in credit correspondence and credit structure mitigants are recommended
- Ensure credit reviews are completed in a timely basis or the necessary approvals for extensions are obtained
- Ensure aspects of increased risk are identified and communicated to the appropriate levels in all instances where potential for credit loss has been identified
- Recommendations changes to policies and procedures where either market conditions warrant or operational efficiencies can be realized without increasing business risk.
- Work closely with Credit Administration Team to ensure all lending terms and conditions established with borrowing client are adhered to at all times
- Provide analytical and administrative support for special projects as required
- Responsible to remain current and comply with anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing legislation, regulations and requirements (including all internal policies and procedures) as they pertain to the position’s area(s) of responsibilities.
- Stay up-to-date on current events impacting the commercial real estate market throughout Canada.

**Qualifications**:

- Post Secondary degree in business, finance, economics, business administration or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in a similar role, preferably in a financial institution
- Proven experience using the Microsoft Office suite with a focus on Word and Excel
- Detail oriented with the ability to identify errors and provide solutions
- Strong communicator, both verbally and written
- Ability to multi-task under pressure while meeting critical deadlines
