We’re always searching the globe for innovative, collaborative minds to join our best-in-class Aecon community Position Overview ACSI is seeking experienced Crane Operator Apprentices & Journeypersonswho will be integral to our project’s success. Reporting to the appropriate site supervisor, the Crane Operator is responsible for safety and efficiently operating a mobile crane to life and move heavy materials at our Mod Yard.
Key Responsibilities
- Operators manipulate many pedals and levers to rotate the crane and raise and lower its boom and one or more load lines.
- May drive the crane to the job site, rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation).
- Set up the machine for the lift (i.e., make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials.
- Journeyperson may mentor apprentices respectfully and oversee their safety. Requirements and Experience
- CSTS-20 Certificate:
- Mobile Elevated Work Platform:
- Fall Protection:
- Experience as a Crane Operator in an industrial construction environment.
- Proven ability to operate equipment in a safe manner.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to lift and work with materials weighing up to 25kg.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.
- Must have a strong understanding of industrial safety procedures and policies. Project: Mod Yard

Sherwood Park, Alberta Rate: $35.00 to $50.00 per hour Overtime: As Per Collective Agreement Schedule: Night Shift / Monday to Friday, 10 hour per shift Camp: No **Allowances: No
