The Containerboard Packaging Group, a division of Cascades, is the largest containerboard producer in Canada, and is also a top converter of corrugated products in the country. The Group manufactures a wide range of products made from recycled fibres for its North American customers in the food, beverage and consumer products sectors, among many others. The Division, which employs close to 3,400 people, owns six containerboard mills and nineteen corrugated products plants in Canada and the United States.

- Individual responsibilities- Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst's mission is to support his/her manager in making strategic decisions and establishing the business strategy of his/her group in order to contribute to the achievement of financial and operational objectives. In addition, you will use your sector expertise to prepare the reports and analyses required for the preparation of your sector's financial statements, while ensuring the completeness and reliability of the information produced and communicated. Finally, you will set up training sessions and make relevant recommendations to optimize processes and implement business strategies, thus actively contributing to the operational and administrative efficiency of your sector. To do this you will have to- Support the operational and supply chain team for requests related to logistics costs and supply chain optimization
- Support the sales team with sales performance analysis requests and support the entities' margin improvement initiatives (Mills)
- Act as financial support for the planning and supply chain team (S&OP)
- Develop financial analysis tools for logistics costs
- Support the 4PL implementation in the conversion plants
- Actively participate in the preparation and analysis of results and financial statements for the logistics component of the sales team as well as for the entity sales component (Mills)
- Contribute to the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts
- Ensure the continuous improvement of current processes
- Ensure the reliability and completeness of the financial information produced
- Monitor best practices in his/her specialty and share them within the organization
- Respect the internal control structure in order to minimize the business risks inherent to operations and fraud

We are looking for someone who has the following qualifications- A Bachelor's degree in finance, administration or accounting;
- A minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant experience;
- Have a CPA designation or be in the process of obtaining it (an asset);
- Be bilingual
- Demonstrate analytical skills, autonomy and a high level of initiative
- Knowledge of SAP & Power B I strong assets
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel environment
- Be action oriented and able to exercise a consultative role
- Excellent organizational and planning skills and thoroughness
