**Millwork Shop Supervisor**

**Our shop operates on a 44 hour per week production schedule with additional opportunities for overtime.**

We currently have three different production shifts, including Monday to Thursday, Tuesday to Friday, and Monday to Friday**. **Shifts begin from 6:00am to 7:00am and run 11-hours including paid lunch. Our **four-day work week** structure offers our employees the benefit of having extended weekends, with the option of selecting either **Mondays or Fridays off**. We believe that this schedule promotes work life balance and allows our team members to recharge and come back refreshed and ready to tackle new challenges.

**Hourly wage $24-$32**

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate daily shop floor activities, including assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Lead and motivate a team of craftsmen, providing guidance, coaching, and training as needed to optimize performance and foster a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with managers, project managers, and other departments to prioritize and schedule work orders, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Monitor inventory levels of materials, hardware, and supplies, and coordinate with purchasing to replenish stock as needed to support production requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, procedures, and regulations, conducting regular safety inspections and addressing any hazards or concerns promptly.
- Implement and enforce best practices for equipment operation, maintenance, and housekeeping to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality defects, coordinating with maintenance staff or external vendors for resolution as needed.
- Promote and maintain a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify opportunities for process enhancements and productivity gains.
- Participate in performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and recruitment efforts for shop floor personnel, providing input to management as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with management, peers, and team members to convey production goals, objectives, and expectations, fostering open communication and teamwork.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent education required; additional technical training or certification in woodworking, cabinetry, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing or woodworking environment, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, machinery, and tools used in cabinet making and furniture production.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and production schedules.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, procedures, and best practices in a manufacturing setting.

The role involves supervising craftsmen, coordinating workflow, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.

Pay: $24.00-$32.00 per hour
