Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
**Material Handling**:

- Receive, inspect, and organize materials for fabrication.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials from delivery vehicles.
- Transport materials within the shop using forklifts or other appropriate equipment.

**Shop Cleanliness and Organization**:

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Dispose of waste and scrap materials in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.

**Assist in Fabrication Process**:

- Support the fabrication team by handling materials during the laser cutting process.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Assist in the assembly and finishing of laser-cut products.

**Equipment Maintenance**:

- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist in the coordination of repairs and maintenance with external service providers.

**Safety Compliance**:

- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

**Team Collaboration**:

- Work closely with other team members to achieve production goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is a plus.
- Forklift certification is desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

**Salary**: $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week

- machine shop: 3 years (preferred)
