The position is responsible for the maintenance and support of information technology infrastructure (networks, servers, data centers, storage and desktops, input and output devices) for the Winnipeg facility. The IS Support Technician will provide expert client and systems engineering and local IT technical support, to ensure that jobs get printed and shipped. Also, they will be responsible for implementation, upgrades, maintenance of IT assets within the facilities.

What You’ll Do Here:

- Deploy, install, configure, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair Windows desktops, Windows servers, various printers and peripherals.
- Install and configure computer software and operating systems
- Install, configure, maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair network cabling (Cat 5 & Fiber), network switches and network hubs
- Track, route, and redirect problems to the correct resources
- Direct internal customers to training documentation
- Follow up with customers, provide feedback and see problems through to final resolution
- Utilize excellent customer service skills and exceed customers’ expectations
- Maintain highest level of security regarding student image and data compliance
- Flexibility to work evening shift during peak times

The Skills You’ll Bring:

- Post-secondary training in Computer Science or Information Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, technical support and/or operations related roles
- 2+ years of experience with Windows 2003/2008/2012/2016/2019 Server environments
- 2+ years LAN/WAN networking including routing, switching and basic IP network topography
- 2+ years’ experience in the IT industry
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Complete tasks with mínimal supervision
- Follow instructions and work under pressure
- Superior Customer Service skills with a strong desire to help
- Read and write English
