Are you committed to protecting your community? Do you want to prevent theft and create a safer environment? Blackbird Security is seeking to hire **Undercover Loss Prevention Specialists - Plain Clothes** in **Brampton, ON.**

**What you will do**
- Prevent shoplifter theft in a retail environment while providing customer service to clients, patrons and customers.
- Wear plain clothes to work undercover, discreetly blending in with shoppers.
- Patrol store aisles, monitor customers, and watch security camera footage.
- Confront individuals you suspect of theft, who have unpaid merchandise.
- Escort trespassers out of the client premises.
- Perform arrests, detainments, and recover unpaid merchandise
- Complete required documentation for security incidents such as theft and violations.
- Escalate situation to law enforcement as required.
- Respond to emergency situations appropriately in a timely manner.
- A keen interest in asset protection and crime prevention
- A Valid Security License
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifting
- Previous security experience in a retail environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills’
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Use of Force Certification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Security: 1 year (required)
- Undercover Loss Prevention: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Use of Force Certificate (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
- Security Licence (required)
