**Our expectations**:
Reporting to the Distribution Center Director, the Distribution Center Operations Manager is responsible of a team of supervisors (approx. 7) and their teams of unionized employees (approx. 120) at our Boucherville Distribution Center. Their primary purpose is to complete the receiving and the shipping areas during their work day, in compliance with the quality, productivity, and safety standards in place, while maintaining an excellent working environment within their team. The incumbent will therefore work closely with their colleagues to not only meet their sector objectives but also maximize the use of all resources and personnel at the distribution centre on all shifts.
- **Location**: Boucherville Distribution Center
- **Shift**: Day shift
- **Sectors**: Forklift Operators, Motorized Order Attendants and Mezzanine (7 supervisors and 120 employees will report to you)

**Your role**:

- Ensure the proper flow of volumes out of the distribution center according to billing
- Ensure the compliance and implementation of safety rules at the distribution centre
- Foster a good working environment within your team, while promoting the company’s values daily
- Plan, coordinate, and manage available resources based on the daily and upcoming volumes of each sector, as well as the distribution centre’s total volume
- Ensure daily operations are completed in compliance with the quality and productivity standards set by the Director, Operations
- Make sure to follow up on team quality and productivity results. Results are communicated to the whole team on a regular basis
- Take necessary measures with employees who do not comply with the quality and productivity standards in place. Personalized action plans will be developed and presented to those employees
- Develop and document the basic routines for their activity sector. Routines will be modified and adapted as the activity sector grows and develops
- Participate in the budget development of their activity sector, in addition to ensuring reports and follow-ups
- Ensure the execution and implementation of the distribution centre’s environmental program
- Enforce disciplinary actions in accordance with the company’s policies and collective agreement

**The qualifications we are looking for**:

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 5 years of experience in management and supervision of operations in a national-scale distribution centre
- Experience in managing supervisors and teams in a unionized environment
- Proven experience of versatility in overseeing the basic functions of a distribution centre: receiving, shipping, order preparation, and inventory
- Ability to react and make decisions rapidly; team player attitude; ability to work under pressure
- Customer service, quality, and results-driven approach
- Strong analytical mind and attention to detail
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience working with an integrated warehouse management system (WMS)
