**Hiring Chinese Language Teachers - Modern Chinese Culture Focus**

**Job Overview**:
Canada Ututoring Learning Institute is seeking **passionate and knowledgeable Chinese Language Teachers** who specialize in **modern Chinese culture and contemporary language use.** We are looking for educators who can move beyond traditional, old-school Chinese literature and instead introduce students to **practical, real-world Chinese**, with a focus on **current trends, social issues, media, entertainment, technology, and modern-day communication styles.**

Our goal is to equip students with **reading and writing** **fluency, conversational fluency, cultural awareness, and a deep understanding of how Chinese is used in today's fast-evolving world.**

**Responsibilities**:
Teach **Mandarin Chinese** with a focus on **modern vocabulary, slang, media, and contemporary culture** rather than classical literature.
Engage students with **interactive discussions** on current topics like **Chinese social media, pop culture, digital trends, business culture, and international relations.**
Help students **develop natural communication skills**, including **reading and writing skills, spoken fluency, pronunciation, and comprehension of fast-paced conversations.**
Utilize digital tools and authentic materials (such as news articles, social media posts, TV shows, and podcasts) to **immerse students in the modern Chinese-speaking world.**
Encourage cultural exchanges by discussing topics such as **workplace trends, generational shifts, urban-rural development, and the global influence of China.**
Provide constructive feedback to track students’ progress and improve their confidence in using Mandarin in practical situations.

**Qualifications**:
**-Experience**: Prior experience teaching **Chinese as a second language** or tutoring students in **Mandarin** is **REQUIRED**.

**-Cultural Expertise**:Strong familiarity with modern Chinese culture—**from entertainment and media to technology, business, and contemporary societal trends.

**-Native or Near-Native Proficiency**: Must have **excellent spoken and written Mandarin**, with the ability to teach both **formal and colloquial expressions**.

**-Engaging Teaching Style**: Ability to make lessons **interactive, relevant, and fun** to keep students engaged.

**-Adaptability**: Comfortable teaching students of different age groups and skill levels.

**-Tech-Savvy**: Ability to **incorporate digital tools, multimedia content, and interactive resources** into lessons.

**-Passion for Modern Chinese Language & Culture**: A deep understanding of **how Mandarin is evolving in the 21st century.**
