Program Specialist

**THE ROLE**
This position is integral in delivering the Veteran FamilyProgram (VFP) through the Military Family Services Greenwood. Theincumbent will be responsible for supporting medically released Veterans andtheir families as they navigate their transition to civilian lifestyle bydeveloping a robust network of community partners and service providers;offering enhanced information and referral services; and delivering orfacilitating local and national transition-focused programming.
**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED**
College diploma or certificate in Social Science, Education or a related field

AND

Several years of experience in family support, social services or a related field.

**Experience**

In creating briefing materials and presentations

In establishing, sustaining and fostering a network of community contacts and partnerships

In proofreading, layout and design

In delivery of family support services

In coordinating training sessions, workshops, and taking minutes

In drafting correspondence

In working with multidisciplinary team

**Competencies, Skills and Abilities**

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
**LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS**
English Essential, bilingual an asset

Writing: Functional
