Lead Hand/Labourer

We are hiring Crew Leaders and Labourers to join our team and rapidly growing waterproofing business.

A1 Waterproofing is a waterproofing company that has operated out of London for over 9 years. Along with waterproofing, we also offer a variety of other services that include brick restoration and various landscaping duties. Our company relies on its impeccable customer service record, attention to detail and meeting deadlines to stand out in our market.

These are full time positions offering competitive wages and other perks based on knowledge and experience related to position.

LEAD HAND $27-$32 to Start
Expectations (lead hand):

- Manage and oversee multiple projects
- Have strong oral and communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Enjoy working outdoors
- Punctual
- At least 2-5 years construction knowledge
- Be able to plan and coordinate projects
- Good attitude
- Ability to motivate and work alongside other members of the crew
- Meet strict deadlines
- Capacity to communicate with other skilled workers, site super or sub contractors

Requirements of position include:

- Regular travel to all ongoing projects to ensure efficient and high quality execution of work. The job sites are typically around London and surrounding area. Work is available
- Training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, and monitoring employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Experience managing a crew and timelines or a goal thats being worked towards, experience in the construction industry (3+ years), realistic optimism, reliable, strong work ethic and other such related qualities of a leader.
- Valid ‘G’ Drivers License
- Good physical shape
- Heavy equipment experience (not mandatory)

This position has the possibility to lead into a supervisor position which comes with higher pay, more benefits and more responsibility

CONSTRUCTION LABORERS $20 - $24 to start
Expectations:

- Own vehicle to get to work and home
- At least 2 years of construction knowledge
- Be able to work with mínimal supervision
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Capacity to communicate with other skilled workers or sub contractors

Requirements of position include:

- Regular travel to all ongoing projects to ensure efficient and high quality execution of work. You’re only required to get to work as transportation is otherwise provided.
- Valid ‘G’ Drivers License
- Good physical shape

What services we offer to our clients:
Commercial and Residential Waterproofing: Int/Ext. waterproofing, drainage systems, drain & sewer repairs etc.
Brick/concrete Restorations - Re pointing, Brick replacements, parging & other related masonry responsibilities.
Landscaping - Retaining walls, interlocking brick, grading etc.
What we Offer:
HOLIDAYS:
Lead Hand(1st year of employment) - Statutory and civic holidays are paid, 2 week paid holidays(pto) throughout the course of the year
Laborers(1st year of employment) - Statutory and civic holidays are paid, 1 week paid holidays(pto) throughout the course of the year

SICK DAYS: 5 paid sick days a year

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour
