C/x Platform Product Owner

We are seeking a **C/X Platform Product Owner** to join our team in Winnipeg MB, Toronto ON.

As a key member of the Client Experience organization, the C/X Platform Product Owner will work closely with our business partners, delivery, and development teams to manage one or several of our enterprise-wide platforms. Examples of these platforms include Enterprise Billing, Contact Center, Claims, and Digital Experience. The responsibility or this role includes delivering on solutions for our internal staff, clients, and advisors as well as engaging in negotiation, feature prioritization and project execution within budget and timelines. This is a highly visible role interacting with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

You will need to be analytical, communicate well, challenge both up and down, and continually look for ways to improve our offering. In short, the C/X Platform Product Owner balances both customer and business needs while maintaining a pulse on the competitive market landscape.

**The **C/X Platform Product Owner** will: *
- Ability to define, drive and execute on a product release schedule. This includes both related and unrelated tasks (i.e. - Assisting with Organizational Readiness, Communications, etc.)
- Responsible for building, grooming, and maintaining product backlog
- Reviews and reprioritize the backlog as part of the preparatory work for iteration planning
- Issuance of detailed release notes
- Define, plan, and deliver products, services, and capabilities for features/epics
- Develop a comprehensive product roadmap while tracking to important milestones
- Identify, decompose, groom, and prioritize User Stories while eliciting requirements from business partners
- Clearly identify acceptance criteria, assumptions, risks, and dependencies
- Provide relevant content to communications and organizational readiness to prepare the platform user base on what’s to come
- Works with the team, other Product Owners, and Managers to define process improvements and features that can improve the velocity of development
- Produces solution description documents and obtains stakeholder feedback and/or approval where needed
- Works with key stakeholders to ensure workable backlog items exist and are assigned correct priority based upon monthly release schedule goals
- Schedules and facilitates regular team planning and design meetings
- Actively participates in agile team activities during an iteration by attending daily, participating in demos and retrospectives, and clarifying user stories Understands the scope of the upcoming work and assists with decision-making and sequencing of key fixes and functionality to the business
- Communicates team commitments and progress regularly

**T**o be successful **as a **C/X Platform Product Owner **with People Corporation, you will need**:

- 7+ years of experience developing and delivering successful and innovative products to market
- Establishing the product roadmap, communicating your line of business vision internally,and presenting your strategic direction to existing and future clients
- Evangelize product vision both internally and externally to get people fired up about your product
- Experience with Scrum (or other Agile Methodology)
- Practical experience with Agile tools & methods such as Confluence, JIRA, Scrum/Kanban delivery frameworks, release planning and User Story writing skills
- Experience with Agile, Design Thinking, User Centered Design, User Experience and journey mapping
- Possesses a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale implementation and/or transformation projects
- Ability to negotiate both up and down, challenge requests, ask the right questions and make difficult prioritization decisions
- Can think strategically, but can also execute on the tactics to deliver the strategy (i.e. - be prepared to roll your sleeves up)
- Possess the ability to not only understand the needs of your customers but also uncover the latent needs that your user base has yet to imagine
- Proficient understanding of enhanced member experience, customer journey mapping, and omni channel interactions
- Superior skills using all Microsoft Office Tools, SharePoint, and Project Management Reporting Tools
- Solid understanding of HRIS, Payroll, Workforce Management, and System Integration
- Experience in the Insurance, Group Benefits, Group Retirement or Financial Services Industry (nice to have)
- CSPO® designation (nice to have)
- Fluency in French is considered an asset
