Production Planner

Reporting directly to the Manager, Planning the Production Planner is responsible for working closely with internal and external customers, perform advanced MRP activities to meet customer requirements and ensure product delivery.

**As a Production Planner, your main responsibilities will include (but not limited to)**:

- Interface “start to completion” in planning the transition from design to production to shipment
- Responsible for developing and implementing MRP to ensure on time delivery to customers
- Interface between Program Management and Manufacturing; report schedule and material status concerns to Program Management
- Plan, release and monitor work orders on the production floor
- Maintain the integrity of data in the MRP system
- Generate purchase requisitions based on MRP
- Analyze material and program reports to understand and highlight critical issues
- Re-plan activities as a result of schedule/material changes
- Implement Engineering Change Notices on related work orders
- Ensure turnaround of Non-Compliance Reports in a timely manner
- Ensures all outside services are planned and monitored
- Actively involved in program closure activities, including the disposition of all requisition, purchase orders and residual inventory
- Other duties and projects may be assigned

**What you require to be successful in the role**:

- Possession of a Diploma or Degree in Planning and Inventory Control or equivalent years of experience Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Production Planner in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Active involvement in or completion of CPIM certification is required
- Strong understanding of MRP systems
- Effective computer skills including, spreadsheets and database creation, maintenance, and update
- Understands and applies knowledge of product structures, configuration control, contracts terminology and ISO procedures
- Effective customer service, negotiation, problem solving and project management skills
