As part of a recent growth, Smith Induspac is looking for a **Junior Buyer / Planner** for its plant located in Ottawa (Stittsville).

**Role and responsibilities**
- Generate production work orders
- Purchase required materials and coordinate with logistics for inbound delivery
- Monitor and expedite inbound raw material
- Inventory control of raw material and work in process
- Working closely with the Production, Purchasing, Logistics and Customer Service teams to plan, manage and monitor materials and inventory levels
- Managing the Supplier Complaints Handling Process and internal non-conformance.
- Manage On Time Delivery (OTD) Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and coordinate with planning and production to meet customer expectations

**Required knowledge and experience**
- 2 years experience in material requirements purchasing and planning or equivalent
- Strong understanding of MRP system.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal and communication skill
- Good leadership and able to perform under pressure
- Analytical thinking / problem solving
- Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally

- Have a positive, engaged contributor style attitude and communications
