The Speech Language Pathologist Assistant role is part of an interdisciplinary team responsible for supporting the provision of service for children requiring development in the areas including but not limited to: Speech and language delays/disorders, communication and fluency disorders, voice and resonance disorders, swallowing and feeding disorders, cognitive-communication disorders and pre-literacy and literacy skills. Working collaboratively, this position will create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment that meets each child’s unique needs, promoting resilience, growth, and success.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the Speech Language Pathologist, classroom team, families/caregivers and other interdisciplinary team members to determine speech-language needs of identified children
- In collaboration, recommend goals for the IPP, suggesting specific accommodations and interventions required for success
- Aid in the development of differentiated instruction strategies, including activities and strategies to support speech-language development
- Discuss, in consultation with interdisciplinary team and family/caregivers, student skills development, progress, observations and updates
- Keep up to date on best practice and current professional practice
- Regularly meet with and receive feedback from Speech Language Pathologist regarding assigned duties and scope of practice

About You

Must-Haves:
- Speech Language Pathologist Assistant/Rehabilitation Diploma or related training
- Minimum 1 year experience working with toddlers, and preschool aged children, including working with children with special needs
- Knowledge and working experience of preschool language delays and disorders and intervention strategies
- Knowledge of child development and skills in operationalizing treatment interventions including behavior management techniques
- Sound clinical judgement, problem solving and decision-making skills in combination with sound analytical abilities are essential
- Experience with Microsoft o365
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in inclusive, multicultural environments. A love of play-based learning (bonus if you’re great at hide-and-seek).

This position is temporary part-time 22 hours per week with an immediate start date and ending on June 30, 2026. Position will support classroom at Lorelei-Beaumaris.
