We also value: - Inclusiveness, diversity, and equity - Accessibility and a sharing of knowledge - Creativity, along with a strengths-based approach GET REEL FILM FESTIVAL The Stella’s Place Get Reel Film Festival is an annual event that creates an opportunity to: - To bring our community together to learn more about Stella’s Place - To break stigma and normalize meaningful conversations around young adult mental health through the medium of films and create a safe space and a way to spark conversations - To celebrate young artists by giving them a platform and opportunity to showcase their mental health experience POSITION: The ‘Get Reel’ Mental Health Film Festival Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Development team with event planning and coordination, curation, contracting, administration, fundraising, audience development and “on the ground” coordination of the festival which will run in May 12, 2025, as a hybrid model. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: **Event planning and coordination**: - Collaborate with the Stella’s Place team to manage artists' submissions. - Assist with film fest curation and manage logístical details. - Develop and monitor the critical path and timelines to ensure the project stays on track. - Maintain the festival budget and handle payments to artists, speakers, and vendors. - Monitor and report on ticket sales and other key performance indicators (KPIs). - Coordinate panel discussions, including sourcing speakers and moderators and managing fees and honorariums. - Maintain volunteer lists, duties and thank you gifts. - Maintain calendars and contact records. **Event stakeholder Management** - Communicate with filmmakers, coordinate production schedules, and negotiate screening fees. - Prepare outreach media releases and maintain and update the media list provided. - Guide and assist grant-recipient filmmakers in the film creation process, including and managing technical requirements such as producing DCP files, event technical needs and artist logistics. - Convene and collaborate with Jury members to support the film screening process. - Lead Volunteer management: recruitment, training, communications and stewardship. - Regular touchpoints with stakeholders to ensure projects are on track. **Marketing, promotions and website management** - Support marketing and promotion efforts for the event to increase awareness and maximize ticket sales - Collaborate with the Development and Communications Coordinator to enhance social media promotions and online engagement. - Get trained on the Eventive platform to assist with development, create discount codes, and troubleshoot issues. - Populate the Eventive platform with prepared content. - Outreach to community partners and media organizations for event cross-promotions **Partnership and Sponsorship Outreach** - Engage in collaboration and outreach to partner organizations to facilitate ticket sales. - Create partner post-event sponsorship deck for Sponsors, corporate volunteers, and internal departments to keep SP staff informed and engaged in all aspects of the festival. - Schedule and facilitate regular touchpoints and phone calls to volunteers, jury committee and artists - Support the team with securing cash and in-kind donations. - Supporting sponsor pitches and updating sponsorship decks for prospective sponsors. **Festival Wrap-Up** - Prepare festival wrap-up communications, awards, Volunteer gifts, and other post-event tasks. - Create stewardship reports and make sure all 2025 sponsorship benefits are fulfilled. - Create a draft budget for 2026 from the Actuals Budget for 2025. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Must Haves**: - Experience as a filmmaker or working with artists in a festival environment - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience with event coordination or project management (critical path & strategy development) - Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills - Willingness to take initiative and work independently - Ability to work with tight deadlines - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Strong Canva, Adobe, Photoshop and Excel Skills - Ability to thrive in the Stella’s Place environment as expressed in our mission, vision and values **Nice To Haves** - Experience coordinating a film festival or sim
